The 'butterfly' solar cooker provides a lot of heat. A litre of water boils in 7 minutes (this measurement was done at 10.30 in the morning on a typical sunny day in Bosaso using a six year old 'butterfly' cooker. The starting temperature of the water was 32 degrees Celsius (90 degrees Farenheit).
